This year, BIKY's outdoor screening program, Moonlight Cinema, returns with a special theme: Day Day Day, a celebration of diverse tastes and lifestyles of audiences. Set against the refreshing atmosphere of a midsummer evening, the screenings unfold on the giant screen of the Busan Cinema Center Roof Theatre, offering three nights of unforgettable experiences, each shaped by a different theme.
The journey begins on July 10 with King's Day, featuring BIKY's specially selected title, <THE KING OF KINGS>. Framed as a story told by Charles Dickens to his son, the film follows a boy who travels 2,000 years into the past to witness miracles firsthand. Combined with voice performances by some of Korea's most beloved actors, it promises a moving experience for audiences of all ages. On July 11, Picnic Day presents a healing cinema for teachers and education professionals. Through the beloved classic <GOOD WILL HUNTING>, in which a gifted young man burdened by emotional scars finds guidance in an inspiring mentor, audiences are invited to reflect on the meaning of education and personal growth. The final evening, July 12, is Doggy Day, a special screening designed to be enjoyed with canine companions. <TAILS OF MOONGCHI>, a heartwarming adventure about abandoned dogs setting out in search of a paradise free from humans, adds an extra touch of charm to the outdoor cinema experience.
Conceived as both a special screening series and a festive gathering, this three-day celebration under the moonlight invites audiences to have lasting memories together. Alongside the BIKY Playground in Dureraum Square, it offers yet another way to experience the joyful spirit of the festival.
