On her fifteenth birthday, Han-ji comes face to face with an angel. Sitting quietly with a cake before her, she asks the angel what she should wish for. The angel suggests wishing for someone else, and the words bring back a painful memory: the day her mother left. Looking back brings some comfort, but nothing has changed. Her mother is still gone. Facing the cake once more, Han-ji makes a wish for her mother and blows out the candles. The film ends, leaving something unspoken in the air.
