Based on Astrid Lindgren's classic children's story, this animated short follows Bertil, a lonely boy left alone at home, who discovers a secret world beneath his bed and a thumb-sized boy named Nils. After learning a magic spell to shrink to Nils's size, the two set off on a thrilling adventure, only to find themselves threatened by a sinister rat. Screened at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, the film magically transforms the familiar spaces of everyday life into a stage for boundless imagination.
A graduate of Denmark’s The Animation Workshop, Yaprak Morali began her career as a classical animator in 1999, working across Europe and Asia before joining Norway’s Qvisten Animation as a director in 2008.
