Atomik Tour
This stop-motion short follows Hugo, a young YouTuber who travels to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone — not as a place of remembrance, but as a backdrop for his social media content. As he wanders the radioactive ruins in search of the perfect shot, his self-absorbed quest takes an unexpected turn when he comes face to face with the history and the ghosts that still linger there. Told largely through the screen of Hugo's smartphone, the film poses unsettling questions about the ethics of turning places of tragedy and trauma into spectacle.
