The Day I Licked a Pebble
On a slow summer afternoon at their grandmother's house in the countryside, three bored siblings set off on a daring mission to the local bakery. Made while the directors were students at MoPA animation school in France, the film captures their curious, delightfully quirky adventure through the lens of a handheld camcorder. Warm with nostalgia and the spirit of childhood, it has screened at major festivals including the Annecy International Animation Festival and the New York International Children's Film Festival.
Goli Atefi, Marie Pijollet, Nathan Jauze, MaudKolasa, Chloé Bernuchon, and Flavie Eliézer made this film as part of their studies at MoPA 3D animation school in Arles.
