Beyond a familiar room and a wide-open window, a magical sky unfolds. Past the coziest place called home, past the private universe of a room of one's own, a dazzling journey begins, soaring toward a wider world. A child sits atop a soft, billowing cloud, clutching a bouquet of colorful balloons. That small, radiant figure represents the spirit of every dreamer who has ever leapt beyond the edges of their little world and reached toward a brighter tomorrow. Now in its 21st year, BIKY is ready to take flight. The power of imagination, built layer by layer on the screen, is breaking through every boundary and rising toward an even higher sky.

Official Trailer

In a small black-and-white room, a boy gazes through a tiny window at a fantasy world beyond. He rises on his tiptoes, gathering his courage, and steps forward. As he enters this strange new world, he pauses for a moment and glances back, before venturing deeper into a landscape bursting with color. Here, land and sea creatures coexist with planets and deserts, free from the constraints of gravity, ecology, and causality. A world beyond the limits of ordinary experience—one that gives children the boundless time and space the film festival itself aims to offer.

Logo

BIKY ·Î°í

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, BIKY embarks on a new beginning with a refreshed logo. The logo¡¯s playful arrangement—varying the size and angle of each letter—expresses freedom and individuality, while also capturing a moment of harmony as the letters come together. This visual encapsulates the festival¡¯s long-standing slogan since its 10th edition, ¡°It¡¯s okay to be different,¡± celebrating the beauty of diversity and unity. The letter 'B' conveys a strong impression of Busan, and together with 'I' for International, 'K' for Kids, and 'Y' for Youth, it forms the shape of a wave—symbolizing the sea of Busan embracing all. Through this, the sea of film that is BIKY becomes a cradle of growth not only for children and youth, but also for families and citizens alike.

Slogan

The 21st BIKY Slogan: "Hey, Let¡¯s Go on a Picnic!"

Taking its first step into a new decade, the 21st BIKY has reflected deeply on the role a film festival can play in today's world. What children and young people need most right now may be simple: a safe, welcoming space to breathe, and the joy of being together.

In an era when the freedom to laugh and chat with friends for no particular reason has become increasingly rare, BIKY turns its attention to the meaning of a "picnic"—a shared space where anyone can let their guard down and simply enjoy themselves. Carrying forward the spirit of "We Are All Unique!" that has guided us through the past decade, we proudly introduce our new slogan: "Hey, Let¡¯s Go On a Picnic!"

The word "Hey¡± carries a special warmth. It is the playful tug of a friend¡¯s sleeve, a gentle encouragement of an adult who meets a child at eye level, and the most heartfelt way of saying: you are welcome here.

The "Picnic" BIKY envisions is nothing grand. It is the quiet flutter of excitement the night before, the warmth of gathering together on a picnic mat, and the wonder of discovering new worlds side by side in a darkened theater. Small moments, woven together into something magical.

By bringing cinema and play together, the 21st BIKY hopes to become a "picnic destination" where everyone can relax, connect, and simply enjoy being together. We hope that the radiant smiles and stories of our audience will fill every corner of this carefully prepared space, becoming memories worth keeping for years to come.
